William Marshal, perhaps one of the greatest knights known to history, was known for his considerable tournament prowess. Though born a man of low nobility, he became a wealthy lord due to his tournament skill by winning the horses and armor of those he tilted against.
In the same spirit, the traditional Yule tournament requires entrants to “pay” to play by donating toys for the Toys for Tots drive.
An entrant will challenge another entrant and set the terms for the fight, such as the number of toys wagered and the style of the fight. The victor claims the toys, and the combatant with the most toys at the end of a round robin is the winner of the tournament.
