As one of the autocrats for Yule this year, I’d like to offer my thanks to all who worked on it. Firstly, I need to thank Lord Lorenz Langenacht, my shadow-autocrat. He did a tremendous amount of the hard physical labor, including retrieving the SCA signs from the storage unit at the last minute.
I need to thank our Reservation Steward Lady Eua of Newcastle, who took extra classes to prepare for the event, all while being our Seneschal. I appreciate you!
Honorable Lord Konrad Reinhard did an outstanding job of being our Head Cook, especially because I gave him the oddball job of feeding 40 to 50 people all day long. I hope that experience of cooking for an Oldenfeld event for the first time doesn’t make him shy away from it in future. Mistress Philomena Wensley, Seraphina/Shelly Hayes and Honorable Lord Eoin an Eich Ghil mac Cionaodha, thank you so much for your help with the wonderful food!
Lady Alinore Kyte, thank you so much for both organizing a series of classes and for teaching one yourself. Master Miklos von Baeker, Mistress Philomena, Lady Eua, y’all did a fantastic job. Mistress Marie le Mains, we missed you and I hope you’re well.
Your Grace Ardien Dochesefford and Master Miklos, thank you for organizing and running the fighting; it was great to watch, and it sounds like it was a lot of fun for the fighters.
Lady Meabh the Mad and Brian Jeffries, that was an excellent Poker archery shoot, and thank you for showing our newcomers a great time!
Your Excellency Simon Maurus of the Argent Quill, the parents of Oldenfeld and I really appreciated your wonderful Children’s activities!
You all have my deep and sincere appreciation, and I apologize to anyone I missed here.
Thank you all for allowing me to boss you around! 🙂
I hope that all the Coronets and members of the populace who came out had a lovely time, have wonderful memories to share, and will join me in a round of applause to you all!
VIVAT! Trimaris! and HAIL! Oldenfeld!
